Moving On Up: Growth at Civilitude
Meet Justin Guinn– he started with us as an intern and now plays a huge role on the team (especially our sidewalks team)! Today we want to brag about him just a little bit! And why are we bragging about him? Already holding a Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from UT, he recently got accepted into the Building Energy and Environments PhD program at UT’s Cockrell School of Engineering. What whaaaat! Justin ultimately made this endeavor because of his passion to help mitigate the effects of climate change on our environment. And while we are sad that he won’t be with us too often anymore, we couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity for him!
As the community and its needs continue to change, so do we. Something we value highly is the personal and professional development of each of our team members– not only for them as individuals, but because new opportunities for our team members means new perspectives for the team in its entirety. And in our opinion, nothing bad can come from additional perspectives, ideas, and opinions. Like we’ve said before and will say again, we are here to get the job #doneright, and that means that we must always be open to adaptation and innovation. Which Justin and his new fancy PhD will help us with! So watch out world, Civilitude is adapting and it only means even greater things are coming!
