Welcoming Civilitude’s Newest Designer
Another win for Civilitude! We are thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our drafting team, Shavanna. So far she has impressed us immensely with her kind spirit, can-do attitude, and mad drafting skills. We asked her a few questions this week so that we could all get to know her just a bit better.
Where are you from?
I’m from El Pauji, a small town in the south of Venezuela on the border with Brazil.
How did you become interested in Drafting/Designing?
Where I grew up, it was very typical for people to build and design their own homes. I’ve always been fascinated by that and I love being able to use that passion and translate it into CAD.
What’s one piece of advice you would give your younger self?
Time flies and you don’t get any younger!
What’s something you’re looking forward to while working at Civilitude?
I’m looking forward to learning new skills and advancing in my career. Very excited to work in building and improving the City of Austin that I love. I can’t wait to drive around town and point out all the awesome projects I’ve worked on!
What’s one food you could never live without?
I could never live without macaroni and cheese!
What’s your favorite thing to do in Austin?
Explore craft breweries and kayak Town Lake with my girlfriend Sally.
