This week, Civilitude is excited to announce a major achievement for our team—the site permit for Linder Elementary School was secured in just 4.5 months from submittal, significantly faster than typical timelines. This milestone is thanks to the hard work of our team members Mike, Jordan, Gerardo, and the support from the City of Austin PPR team. Linder is just one of 26 bond modernization projects we’re delivering for Austin ISD, which includes 7 elementary schools, 8 high schools, 8 track and artificial turf fields, 2 stadiums, and a bus terminal.

Our role at Civilitude goes beyond simply serving as the design engineer of record for these projects. We also provide critical support across the district, from technical reviews and permitting acceleration to land acquisition and maintenance operations. Austin ISD’s leadership has entrusted us with ensuring these projects run smoothly and efficiently, a responsibility we are proud to uphold as we contribute to the modernization of education infrastructure.

This week, our President Nhat is attending the I-LinCP event to share the successful bond playbook with neighboring school districts, such as Georgetown, Hutto, Elgin, and Jarrell, where over $2 billion in combined bonds have passed in the last 18 months. Educational facilities, particularly K-12 schools, remain at the core of our strategic focus and are deeply embedded in our company’s mission and values.

Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming Austin ISD and other K-12 projects!

About the Linder Elementary School Modernization

The Linder elementary school modernization project is part of the 2022 Bond Program and involves a full modernization of the campus to create flexible learning spaces that foster collaboration and creativity. The school’s design draws inspiration from nature, integrating sustainable design practices that aim for LEED and AEGB certifications. With a budget of $56 million, the project is set for completion in fall 2026, with ongoing activities continuing in the existing building during construction.
