Civilitude Wins Austin Young Chamber’s FAVE Company Culture Award

Last night the Annual FAVE Awards were held virtually by the Austin Young Chamber. Although we were sad to not have the opportunity to attend the event in person as we usually do, our night was still very much an enjoyable one! With beverages in hand, we watched as our Vice President, Nhat Ho, accepted the award for FAVE Company Culture on behalf of our team. Despite his first statement being that he would rather have won the “Best Dressed Engineer” Award, he hit it right on the nose with his explanation to all of the attendees about what exactly our company culture means to us.

“We are more than a group of individuals doing engineering projects together. We are all about each of our fellow team members’ professional and personal growth– our culture IS growth.”

This culture of growth is pretty obvious when we look at some individual stories. Recently one of our team members, Justin Guinn, who started here as an intern, got accepted into a PhD program focusing on the environment and energy. Our Operations Manager, Leslie Botello, began as an Executive Assistant and is currently working on getting her MBA degree. These are just two examples– we could keep going! The point is, we strive to take each new member, experienced or not, and develop their particular skills and talents in a way that uplifts that individual and brings them to their highest potential.

But apart from the serious stuff, we also have some fun, too. Give us a follow on Instagram (@civilitude) if you want to see!
