Small-Scale Civil Design Workshop: Gingerbread Style

By Categories: BlogPublished On: December 30th, 2020

Like everyone else these days, we are celebrating the holidays in the ever-present virtual space. While we were hoping for an in-person gathering to talk about all of the things that 2020 brought us and what we look forward to achieving in 2021, we still managed to have a good time through the screens! It wasn’t all talk, though. We wanted to add a bit of spice to the Google Meets call, and that spice came in the form of some friendly competition! Everyone received a gingerbread house kit to decorate by themselves or with their family during the party, and we ended up with… what you could call a conglomeration of very different results! We had some very creative styles a la the kids, we had a classic three home single-family lot with a questionable structure, and we even had a re-make of the Civilitude office (although its foundation crumbled pre-photograph)!

We are so lucky to have a diverse team full of fun people that can come together to celebrate even in the weirdest of times. And we are even luckier that our team has grown significantly in 2020 and will continue to grow in the new year. So hopefully 2021 will bring more in-person gatherings for that growing team than 2020 did! Until then, from all of us at Civilitude, have a great new year!
