A Ramadan Message from our CEO
We are fortunate that our team at the Civilitude Group embraces diversity — that everyone has respect for and appreciation of different cultures, faiths, values, perspectives, and worldviews.
A few members of the Civilitude team have finished observing Ramadan and are currently celebrating Eid after our yearly fasting ritual, with no food or drink from dawn to sunset.
But to us, Ramadan is so much more than the mechanics of abstaining from food and drink. It’s a beautiful month that shines a light on self-betterment and community. Keeping away from basic human needs during the day leads us to also refrain from human vices, flaws, and immoralities. We then become aware of how we treat one another. Our patience, gentleness, and humility grow, leading us to reflect on those less fortunate than us. In the simple act of fasting, we learn to grow in thoughtfulness, kindness, and spirituality.
A part of the thoughtfulness extends to not being selfish or wasteful, and caring for the environment and natural resources. So the stars aligned when Earth Day fell in the middle of Ramadan this year.
Along with being kind to the planet, we strive to be kind to others, be there for family, friends and neighbors, and being good citizens. We then multiply that humanity and give abundantly to charitable causes. We love being a part of the larger community in our very special city of Austin, Texas. As Austinites and Texans, I can hear our team members say, “I can get behind that right there.”
I invite you to connect with us and learn about the very diverse cultures represented on our team and really get to know us. Life is good, Praise God (alhamdulillah).” – Fayez Kazi
