CARTS & CapMetro’s Richard Moya Eastside Bus Plaza

Transportation is a critical part of everyday life. You may have either your own vehicle or bicycle to get around the city, or you depend on public transportation such as rideshares, buses or trains. Together with the Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) and Capital Metro, we would like to highlight our work on the Richard Moya Eastside Bus Plaza project! The bus plaza has been under construction since early February 2020 and is currently in its closing stage to reach completion. The plaza’s services will provide individuals from Bastrop, Burnet, Blanco, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays and Lee counties a mode of transportation to reach Austin, as well as help residents get around the city. Throughout the green landscape areas of the site are rain gardens that visitors and travelers can interact with. The overall bus plaza is a site to see and to utilize for everyone!

We hope you enjoyed this brief project highlight and photo showing off the plaza! Be sure to check out our Instagram page here to see more.
